Get The Look - The Kilkenny Masterclass Edit

Hello! Last night we had a Sculpted Masterclass in the Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel and it was just such a lovely evening! We had the best team looking after us in the hotel and the loveliest ladies attending the masterclass! We talked all things beauty and makeup so today I'll give a run through of the second look of the night on the gorgeous Eimear!
Prep
I used Beauty Base to prep the skin for makeup and add a lovely golden glow to the skin. This has your SPF, Hyaluronic Acid for moisturising and strobe effect and saves so much time in the mornings!
Base
Starting off Eimear's base with an undereye concealer. The skin underneath the eye is much thinner so you need to use something really lightweight and creamy on this area! I used Catrice Undereye Concealer and popped it on using my ring finger. It's an amazing concealer for the price, it does dry in very quickly so you have to blend it before it dries!
Foundation
I used Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua for Eimear's foundation and the Buffer Brush to blend it onto the face. This is a lovely lightweight foundation that still has medium coverage which you can build with. It leaves the skin looking really luminous.
And using the Perfecter Brush I popped a dusting of Charlotte Tilbury Magic Powder all over to set the face. This is a fab product and is lovely and lightweight, it does smell quite strong which is funny, but a little goes a long way and you'll have this for ages!!
Contour
Starting with Medium Bronzer from the Custom Edition Palette and follow your cheekbone. Take a little bit of bronzer onto the fluffier end of the double ended brush and start back where your cheekbone meets your ear and lightly blend along the cheekbone. You can lightly build up to what you want. Apply around the hairline and down the sides of the nose.
I popped Golden Hue onto the tips of the cheekbones, down the centre of the nose, and along the cupids bow, tapping it onto the skin! This means that you won’t take any foundation off as the warmth of your hand almost helps the product to melt onto the skin!
Following this I used Golden Glow highlight onto the tips of the cheekbones, down the centre of the nose and the cupids bow to give that really glowy finish!
And I finished the contour with Sunset Sheen Blush, which is a fab pinky/peachy blush with a glow, and popped it onto the apples of the cheeks using the Setter Brush! Top tip here is to always angle your blush back towards your contour so it all blends together nicely.
Eyes
I like to use bronzer almost as the base for a smokey eye, but it's also a great product to double up with for a daytime look! The right brush is really important here, using the blender brush (a big fluffy one!!) it really helps blend it all out and makes applying shadow so much easier! Using a Golden Glow Powder Highlight on the eye lid and tear duct.
Using the Taperer Brush and to achieve that real smokey eye I used MAC Twinked, which is a darker shimmer shadow and applied this the whole way across the lid. Just don't bring it too high and blend away!
Underneath the eye
Start with your angle brush and go under your lashes and bring the colour the whole way across. I used the same MAC Twinked here. Then using bronzer and the definer brush bring this all the way underneath the eye to get that lovely smokey eye look!
And for the flick I used Inglot 77 and the angle brush. Start at the middle of the eye and stop at the last lash and turn your brush around to do the flick. If you’re really fair it’s important to almost paint your lashes so that there’s no gap between your lashes and liner!! I finished off the look with lightweight Strip Lashes to give that wow effect!!
Lips
Red lips was the request of the night so I used Rouge from the Pink Edition Lip Quad. Start at the outer edges of the lip and follow the white line to get your most natural shape to maximise the lip! I actually used a deeper shade of red as I feel it looks amazing with a smokey eye, a cherry red can sometimes be too strong! You can tone this down with a nice nude lipstick, still getting that deep red effect, and clean up using your definer brush and some concealer!
Hope you liked the edit!
Lots of love,
Aimee xx
