Alison Oliver Partners with Sculpted by Aimee for Met Gala 2024 Makeup Look

No event draws more eyes than the Met Gala. It's a night where every detail, from the beading on avant garde gowns to the last lick of mascara, is meticulously curated to captivate beauty and fashion enthusiasts and inspire the next wave of trends. This year, the team at Sculpted by Aimee had the privilege of partnering with Irish actress Alison Oliver – celebrated for her roles in Saltburn and Conversations with Friends and upcoming role in The Order with Jude Law – to help bring her red carpet look to life with naturally radiant skin and a romantic eye look.

Alison’s makeup enhanced the 26-year-old Cork-born star’s natural beauty, focussing on fresh, illuminated skin with flushed cheeks, a natural lip, and bronze eyeshadow.

Makeup artist, Shayna Gold, who has worked with the likes of Daisy Edgar Jones, Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Chamberlain, and Emily Ratajkowski explains, “We went for a sultry brown smoky eye and softly lined, brown-toned lip in line with the hues of Alison’s outfit. We added a touch of lipgloss to this monochromatic beauty to tie together her fresh luminous skin as the finishing touch.”

Get the Look

Shayna prepped Alison’s skin with HydraGlo and CloudCreamTM to ensure long-lasting hydration and a plump, dewy base. For a real hit of lit-from-within luminosity, Shayna used our Beauty Base Original to prime Alison’s skin for makeup.

For her base, Alison is wearing our much-loved Satin Silk foundation which offers all the benefits of a full coverage formula but with a breathable finish. The sweat-resistant pigments in this foundation make it longwearing which is perfect for the red carpet or any special event where you don’t want your base to budge.

As for eyes, Shayna used our Prime Eyes cream shadow stick in Chocolate Bronze (back in stock 13th May) to create Alison’s gorgeously sultry eye look. These buttery, dual-ended pigments melt effortlessly onto eyelids for a camera-ready finish in moments. Topped off with a sweep of MyMascara in Ultra Black (back in stock 13th May), Alison’s eyes looked beautifully defined with just the right amount of drama.

To sculpt and lift Alison’s features, Shayna used our Love Story Bare Basics palette – created by Sculpted by Aimee’s Founder and CEO, Aimee Connolly for her own wedding. The all-in-one palette has everything needed to contour and highlight the face, as well as a dreamy coral blush shade to add a romantic flush to the cheeks.

Shayna perfected the look with a stunning natural lip, using Line & Shine in Bay to define the Cupid’s bow and add a glossy finish.

The final look complemented Alison’s sparkling black blazer-and-boots combo, and she took to the red carpet on the first Monday in May looking absolutely stunning.
